WE DID IT!

850+ Christmas Cards, 300 Volunteers (with help from 6 Organizations), and 7 Senior Residences!

We can't believe it's been three years since we started this project, so we'd like to dedicate our efforts this year (as always) to all of our volunteers. Whether you've been with us since the beginning, making cards during lunch break with us in the library, or whether you joined us along the way - thank you. None of this would be possible without your help, and it's people like you that remind us that the world is filled with kindness and generosity. You might not realize it, but your small actions can make a big impact - it only takes a card to bring endless joy to a senior (trust us, we've seen a senior with Alzheimer's get excited 4 times over as her caretaker explained the card to her). To us, it's such a tiny gesture - but to others, it really is a memorable gift.

This year, we had the opportunity to visit Rosewood Manor, Columbus Residence, Legacy Senior Living, Austin Harris Residence, and the Ukrainian Senior Citizen Housing of Ivan Franko Society. We also handed out cards at Pinegrove Place and the Jackson Lam Adult Daycare Centre - thank you for your support since the start of this project. It was so heartwarming seeing the smiles light up the faces of your seniors, and we hope we were able to share a little of our Christmas spirit and cheer this year. Thank you so much to all the staff who helped coordinate our visits - especially to the the amazing people who knew the names of every senior resident and acted as our tour guides throughout the senior communities.

From our hearts to yours, we will all of you a very warm holiday season: whether you celebrate Christmas or just enjoy the cooler weather, we hope everyone has a chance to spend time with the people they care about and to do the things they love.
