WE DID IT!

500 Christmas Cards, 50+ Volunteers (with help from 4 Non-Profit Organizations), and 9 Senior Residences!

We started this event after reading an article in the news about rising rates of depression in local seniors - and while we can't promise you've changed their lives or alleviated everyone's sadness - we can say, without a doubt, that you brought a spark of light and happiness to every senior we visited. With that being said, we want dedicate this event to everyone who helped make this possible. To every volunteer who sent us a card, to every senior home that let us visit, to everyone who sent us their encouragement - thank you. Thank you for sharing the true meaning of Christmas and for being as excited as we are about this event.

This year, we were welcomed back to Courtyard Gardens, the Jackson Lam Adult Daycare Centre, and Pinegrove Place. Thank you for continuing to support our team and events. We also visited the Ukrainian Senior Citizen Housing of Ivan Franko Society, Chalmer's Lodge, Oak Tree House, Lions Senior Care Home, Legacy Senior Living, and Amica at Arbutus Manor. We hope the Christmas cheer we spread inside each residences will last through the holiday season. Merry Christmas to each staff member, and a huge shoutout to all of our "tour guides" who led us through the residences and introduced us to each senior.

We urge you all to continue the theme of gratitude and giving this Christmas: you don't need large sums of money or a vastly influential organization to change the world - you just need a good heart, a big smile, and a willingness to give without a thought for receiving anything in return.
